Founding Partner // Executive Director

Jon-Paul Hunten (JP) holds a BA in Music and a MLOS in Business. He is a nationally recognized and awarded Arts Entrepreneur and Musician. JP joined his musical family singing on stage at age 6, at age 16 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall. Prior to discovering his passion for Event Entertainment, he worked in the theater, and continues to bring an element of sophisticated showmanship and production quality to his work. 

JP apprenticed with Wayne Foster and can trace his band leading heritage to the likes of Lester Lanin and Benny Goodman. He considers it an honor to be associated with the great American Dance Band leaders of old, and is committed to ensuring that the art form remains contemporary and relevant.

JP Hunten Music (JPHM) is contemporary in both style and structure. As an Artists owned and operated company JPHM is committed to excellence and empowerment both on stage and off.  

JPHM specializes in prominent private events, therefore the company has a code of conduct, holds a confidential client list, and honors all NDA's.

JP serves as Co-President of the Board of Directors for the Moonlight Cultural Foundation and is committed to community enhancement through the Arts.  He lives in San Diego County (where he is a native) with his wife Elizabeth and their two little ladies, Vivian and Rosemary.



Isaac Johnson

Partner // Music Director 

Isaac Johnson is a true believer in the power of the arts.  He is inspired by the way music can transport a person to the truest place is their self and in their soul.  He specifically loves that just a few bars of a beloved song can whisk a person away to the memory of their first love, first kiss, or first dance.  As a Musical Director for events he delights in being a part of helping clients to create those special moments that they will always remember.

Isaac began studying music at age 10 and continued through the completion of his bachelor’s degree in music performance at Azusa Pacific University.  A well versed artist with expertise in classical, jazz, pop, folk, and rock, Isaac has continuously performed professionally in a variety of contexts.  A Los Angeles based artist, he particularly enjoyed sharing the stage with hit maker Matt Nathanson (Come on get higher) for a sold out engagement at the House of Blues in his hometown of Hollywood.  He has headlined tours in many major US cities including New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Seattle, and Austin.

Isaac is also an accomplished composer whose songs have been selected to score television shows on MTV and E! Networks.  A versatile performer with a robust film and television resume, some of his favorite credits include the independent films he has worked on as well as his recent appearance sharing the screen with Nathan Fillion and Susan Sullivan on the hit ABC show Castle.



Danielle Sadd

Partner // Director of Operations

Actress, Singer, Comic, Writer, Danielle earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, training in New York and Los Angeles. She’s a bi-coastal talent, with credits in the “Winnie the Pooh: The Musical” National Tour, “Les Miserables,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “South Pacific,” “Seussical, the Musical,” and several musical workshops and master classes. She’s been a featured vocalist at Upright Cabaret and Show at Barre, as well as various cabaret clubs in Los Angeles and New York. Danielle has performed with Sam Harris, Christopher Titus, Tracie Thoms, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Ty Taylor, Our Lady J, Barrett Foa and scores of others. She’s a frequent guest comic at The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Ice House and Flappers. She has recorded back-up vocals and voice over work for many artists and industries. Her film credits include “Now or Never,” “Sing,” and “Helen, A Great Old Broad.”



Timothy Hunten

Partner // Technical Director

Timothy has been an Entertainment Technical Professional for over 20 years. He has experience managing live events worldwide, and is also a sought after audio mixer for TV and Film. He has designed audio systems for major award shows on NBC, The Game Show Network and Nickelodeon. Timothy has been system engineer for many popular artists such as Linkin Park, Blake Shelton, Chris Isaak, New Politics and many others.


Timothy recently completed a tour of Europe in which he ran sound for corporate events in Paris, France and Hanover, Germany. In addition, he has worked in difficult audio environments and large outdoor arenas in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Tim enjoys the challenge of designing the proper system for the event and helping to realize a flawless experience for the guests.



Lauren Thompson

Communications Manager

Lauren Thompson began her career in music as a child from a musical family performing in youth and regional theaters across southern California and subsequently moving on to perform on professional stages worldwide. She advanced her already robust resume by earning a Bachelor’sDegree in Theater Arts from Azusa Pacific University.

Lauren’s diverse credits include TV, film, and stage. She has recently completed both a national and international tour performing as a lead and backup singer for emerging artists and event bands. She hosts a weekly Youtube show “Boredom Break”.

Recent Theater credits include, Laura Lyons in Hound of the Baskervilles (Actors Co-op), Florence Gill in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Actors Co-op), Sandrine/Hope in Almost Maine (Split Check Entertainment), and Rita in Pajama Game (Starlight San Diego). Lauren has also appeared in several short films, Television shows, web-series, and commercials including Barefoot Wine, Hello Giggles, Soccer Moms, Nescafé, Verizon FiOS, The Accountants, Killer Kids, Unusual Suspects, and The Matt and Kory Show.

She enjoys writing, producing, tap dancing, and keeping theatre alive in Los Angeles! Lauren’s Passion for the Theatre translates into her performances at events, where she treats every celebration as a limited engagement Musical. She is a charter member of the JPHM Dance Orchestra and is delighted to be part of the Leadership Team!



Matthew Murdock

Special Music Manager

Matthew Murdock is a highly trained and highly sought after Conductor, Trumpet Player,

Arranger, and Artistic Director. He holds both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Music from Azusa Pacific University. He has also continued his studies under masters including conductor Abel Ramirez at Cal State L.A.

Matthew spent 8 years as a full time Music Teacher leading his students to multiple local and state championships. He was selected for the Outstanding First Year Teacher Award for the state of California from CAEE and the T.H.E (Teachers Honoring Excellence) award from AUSD.

Matthew also holds the unique distinction of being selected by the UCLA faculty to be a participant in their study focusing on progressive and effective classroom management and innovation in instruction.

Matthew has worked extensively performing and producing music for the Disney Parks, Sea World Parks, Blast Inc., and as Artistic Director for Apex Entertainment, a leading contractor of live music for Theme Parks.

He is delighted to be a part of the Leadership Team at JPHM, where he can combine a passion for musical excellence with a passion for creating celebrations. Matthew’s expertise in creating memorable moments for vacationers at theme parks translates seamlessly into his passion for making every event fun and memorable.
